This is the capture card that was originally packaged with Intel ProShare Video Conferencing kit when Windows 3.1 was king, and ISA slots plenty were in the land. If you have one and want an extra board, or if you game for an ISA capture card, then this is the card for YOU!
The Intel Smart Video Recorder Pro ISA Capture card has two inputs (one input jack is a standard S-Video 4-pin mini-DIN input connector, the other is a proprietary 7-pin mini-DIN input connector). We got this card to FINALLY work, but it was a real bear. We could only get the card working with MGI's VideoWave II SE video capture program (it will not work with Netmeeting).
The drivers we used with the ones listed for the Smart Video Recorder Pro (not the ones listed for the ProShare Conferencing Kit - but we did reference both driver links below) with Windows 98 (yes, we got it working in 98) - just make sure to load the indio codec, and point it to using that codec when capturing. So, if you consider yourself a true tech guru, and want an ISA capture card challenge, or already have the original Intel kit and want a direct replacement card - then this is the one to get. Please note that we will not be providing ANY technical support of any type on this card.
